Do you charge to inspect my hard disk or memory card?

We make no charge for diagnosing the problem with your media.
The only exception to this is for certain types of RAID or Server drives where, because of the nature of the hardware, we may have to partially perform a recovery to establish the degree of damage.
We never perform any chargeable tasks or operations without informing you and getting prior approval.

What happens if you can't recover my data?

If the data we can recover is not the data you want or need then there is no charge for recovery. Where possible we will create a list of all the files that are likely to be rescued and let you decide if you wish to proceed.

What happens to my media after you recover my data?

We would normally recommend that any media is discarded rather than risk a repeat of the failure. Once recovery is complete and approved we will securely dispose of the media unless you specifically request that it is returned.

I only wanted pictures recovered but now I think there may be a document I need.

We keep a duplicate of all the data that is recoverable for a minimum of 10 days after recovery.
Any additional files that are subsequently required and can be recovered are sent to you at no extra charge.
If we don't hear from you within the ten day review period, the data will be securely wiped from our system.
